We all know that life comes with unavoidable physical and emotional pain. That seems to be a non-negotiable part of the deal. The negotiable part is how much time you will spend worrying about it.  If you have a legitimate reason to be stressed; then let yourself worry; it’s normal but I challenge you to adapt the concept of a Worry Window so that you are not using precious energy to worry when it is not necessary.

A Worry Window is a period of time that you set aside to worry about whatever issue is at hand and it can decrease the amount of time you spend worrying.

 

Giving yourself Worry Windows frees your brain of all the energy that you’re taking away from your current circumstances, the enjoyment, fulfillment, creativity, problem-solving, and puts it at a set time where you have decided this is when you will worry and these are the parameters.
